Greenbelt, MD -- November 25, 2009 -- SwapItGreen today announced its latest major release. This new version implements SwapItGreen wallets for fast and convenient payment of transaction fees. New payment options have also been added in the checkout, as well as the ability to buy trading points; and, for a limited time, transaction fees have been reduced.

Dawn Stevens of FOX 9 Morning News in Minnesota featured SwapItGreen in her October 22, 2009, on-air report, "Virtual Yard Sale on SwapItGreen.com. " Stevens found SwapItGreen to be unique because it's "really trying to help communities recycle." SwapItGreen executive Bill Douglas appeared briefly in the segment, saying "If you look around my house I've always got stuff I've just accumulated and not using any longer. Instead of throwing it away and filling up landfills, why not take that item, put it on SwapItGreen, and someone else probably really wants that item."

The segment aired in the morning and ran again at night. SwapItGreen saw an unprecedented spike in registering new users in Minnesota immediately following both airings.
